Ramboda Falls is 109m
high and 11th highest waterfall in Sri Lanka and 729th highest waterfall in the
world. It is situated in Pussellawa area, on the A5 highway at Ramboda Pass. It
formed by Panna Oya which is a tributary of Kothmale Oya. Altitude of the falls
is 945m above sea level. The scenery surrounding the waterfall is attractive
with lush green foliage and many nearby tea plantations. You can walk among tea
plantation & you can take some attractive photographs at there.
There are 3 Cascades formed with the same brook, the upper
and lower falls are hardly visited by travelers.to visit the main cascade, you
have to climb down nearly 100m to the Guest house called Ramboda falls and trek
another 150m distance. There is a safe bathing pool at 100m distance from the
said guest house formed by a sister stream, for travelers who need a safe
natural bath.
